Since 1987
Empowering deprived and vulnerable communities in Madhya Pradesh through education, health, nutrition, and sustainable development initiatives.
Gram Sudhar Samiti (GSS) was established and registered in 1987 by five likeminded persons who were very active and associated with Jayprakash Vinobha Bhave and the Sarvodaya movement.
Mr. Arun Tyagi, president of GSS, carried forward the activities by mobilizing local inhabitants and forming people's Sangathans in 50 villages. The organization got itself registered under the FCRA in 1996.
Today, we continue to work for the development of some of the most deprived and vulnerable communities in Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, and Satna districts of Madhya Pradesh.
To uplift deprived and vulnerable communities in Madhya Pradesh by promoting education, health, nutrition, and legal rights. We focus on empowering women, children, and marginalized groups through community initiatives, awareness programs, and partnerships.

Focus Areas
Through mass awareness programs, wall writing, street plays, and cultural programmes in association with Madhya Pradesh Voluntary Health Association (MPHVA) and with support from UNFPA, we have tackled violence against women and promoted gender equality in rural communities.
We support and provide assistance to the deprived and socially exploited sections (dalits and tribal) of society in availing rights based on NTFP (Non-Timber Forest Produce) and assist in availing legal rights to the displaced.
Whether you want to volunteer, partner, or support our initiatives, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we can create lasting change in rural communities.
